Filtered Pulse and Glide
We are developing UPLIFTS to address system-wide energy inefficiencies in urban transportation. This innovative software toolkit optimizes dynamic urban platooning to significantly reduce system-level energy consumption, by focusing on optimizing stop-to-stop trajectories and impact of vehicle heterogeneity. We expect UPLIFTS technology to assist in reducing energy consumption and urban congestion.
Dynamic Urban Platooning
E-trailers are a simple and easy to implement method of hybridization of tractor-trailer combinations, especially large semis. We developed a concept called "Virtual E-Trailer" that reduces fuel consumption of conventional Diesel trucks by electrifying the trailer.
